II. Native American Objects
The stone artifacts on this website are authentic Native American archeological objects discovered in plain sight on the surface of the ground on private property in Issaquah, Washington in 2011.
They are not replicas or modern artwork.
It is critically important to state that this property is not a burial ground (burial grounds are protected), and that I had prior permission to collect stones there.
The Jade Horse I Found In 2011 In Issaquah, Washington
The artifacts were recovered on soil that the U.S. Geological Survey has classified as “Vashon lodgment till (Pleistocene)“, which means an unsorted mixture of clay, silt, sand, and gravel deposited during the Late Pleistocene epoch, during the Vashon Stade period, which began around 19,000 years ago and ended about 16,000 years ago.

The objects I found in 2011 are in a safe deposit box and will be sent to Cynthia Chavez Lamar, Director of the National Museum Of The American Indian in Washington D.C. by secure carrier when the Smithsonian Museums reopen.

The artifacts are stone, and were recovered on surface soil composed of wet clay mixed with sand, and water. There are no organic components – in other words they will not deteriorate over time, and current storage conditions are far superior to the conditions in which they were found.
There are seventeen objects in all, and all seventeen will be sent to NMAI.
I am the only person who has ever seen them – in other words they are not available and have never been available to anyone but myself, and they are not being handled or circulated in any way. I have only handled them long enough to photograph them.
I have never and would never keep, sell or monetize Native American objects.
